A Message to the Voters of Montgomery County

Our judicial system depends on two basic principles - integrity and
independence.  A judge must have the integrity to follow and apply
the law.  A judge must also have the independence to weigh the
motives and feelings of all who seek justice from the courts.  Our
courts, then, have a head and a heart.

Abraham Lincoln said he never had a policy . . . he simply tried to do
what seemed best each day, as each day came.  As Superior Court
Judge, I have followed this ideal.  I have maintained the high
standards essential to the integrity and independence of the court.  In
short, I have done what seems best each day, as each day comes.

I would appreciate your support on May 6.

                                 Judge David A. Ault
